#OneLookADayProject Week 2: 7 Day Round Up

 Instagram Follow me on Instagram!

Let me put it out there for the world and you; I usually have very un-eventful weeks! But this one was different. It was obviously filled with the usual hustle bustle of work life but this week I not only celebrated Diwali but also celebrated graduation! Yes, I graduated this week and hence you can best believe, this week was a special one.

For this week’s round up, I’d like to state, this is so not easy! I genuinely don’t know how I’ve completed 14 days aka 2 weeks of fashion blogging!

Day 8 of the #OneLookADayProject was Diwali, which meant I wasn’t going to leave you hanging about what I wore, duh! So for this time round, I wore something I previously owned and true to staying away from myths and stereotypes, I actually didn’t buy anything new. I wore this red salwaar suit, which came with golden palazzo pants, which I love! For any of you who have been around here for a long time, you’d know how much I dig comfortable clothes and this was no less of a surprise!

For day 9 of the #OneLookADayProject, I wanted to my outfit to encompass elements of being boss like, casual and most importantly comfortable. So, I decided to pair this pale pink polo Tommy Hilfiger shirt with my you’ve-seen-these-pants-before pants. I, of course completed this look with classic black vans! (Did you know I was on the waitlist to purchase these vans for like a month? I don’t know why you needed to know that, but I decided to put it out there anyway!)

Day 10 of the #OneLookADayProject was super fashion-esque in my opinion. I wore this wonderful corset top and paired them with my jeans-you’ve-seen-before jeans from forever21! I completed the look with some wedges from shoe mart! From all the looks I did that week, this was actually one of my favorites, solely because as un-comfy as it looks, it wasn’t!

#OneLookADayProject Day 11: I think I was channeling a very sporty vibe that day (weird enough someone asked me whether I was going for a match lol!). For this day, I decided to go for very neutral colors and I paired these grey pants with a simple white top and white classic superstars shoes-you’ve-seen-before.

For day 12 of the #OneLookADayProject, I again paired my you’ve-seen-these-pants-before pants from forever21 with these gorgeous puffed sleeve top and pearl necklace! I actually don’t have a lot to say about this outfit, but let me tell you a quick story. I took photos in this outfit probably a 100 times, and guess how many I put up on Instagram?

Day 13 of the #OneLookADayProject was the day I graduated! A special day for me, which I decided to share with all of you! Funny story, I actually had an outfit post planned for the day, which I decided to withdraw at the last minute because graduation duh! P.S my heels are from Debenhams!

To wrap up the week and for day 14 of the #OneLookADayProject, I’m wearing another ruffled sleeve top from Zara and I paired it with jeans-you’ve-seen-before jeans from forever21 (Again! Yaay!)

That's all for this week! See ya next week where I repeat outfits but show you different variations, until then, bye!

#OneLookADayProject: 7 Day Round-Up

Instagram Follow me on Instagram! (Yes, I start with shameless promotion)

As I write this today, I realize it’s been forever since I last posted on my blog. In everything that I used to do on a daily basis, or rather still do on a daily basis, what I’ve come to realize is that writing or coming up with outfit ideas, is something that I love doing. In the past few years and months of doing is, what I hadn’t cleared out is, I don’t want to be a high-fashion blogger.

I don’t want to be that blogger who talks about big, premium brands. The one who tags names of brands that you’d see only in a Harrods or in a Paris Gallery in UAE or rather in the much exclusive “fashion-avenue” of Dubai Mall. Not that there’s anything wrong with bloggers who do that kind of thing (you do you!), but it’s not me.

I want to be that blogger who can show you how simple items can you make you look your best. I want to be that blogger who shows you style doesn’t necessarily need to come at a price and that you can still look great with a 49AED top on. Most importantly, I want to be that blogger who talks about brands that you can actually buy and not dream of buying (oh the dreams I’ve had of owning a pair of Christian Louboutins…)

A week ago, I started the #OneLookADayProject on Instagram, where I show you what I’d wear on a daily, throughout the week. In this blog, I am rounding up all the outfits I wore throughout the week! Hold up though, if you haven’t been following me on Instagram, you should! You can find me on the handle @arohib.  Instagram Click here!

Let me start off by saying, it’s not easy thinking about what to wear. Plus, I don’t think I’m ever going to get over doing these fashion outfit shoots and have everyone look at me.

For day 1 of the #OneLookADayProject, I chose black on black. I can hear all the fashion Gods looking down on me and shaming me for not starting with a pop! I did not start off with a yellow, making me look like a tulip outfit, but instead I went for the dullest color in the palette, also one of the best. Ladies, I’d like to clarify, this is a lazy girl’s outfit and that’s okay. P.S. I started off on a weekend, I’m bound to be lazy about all of this.

Day 2 of the project was also the first day of the week (which meant weekend blues…), it also meant I wore blue to work (lol, sorry for this horrible joke). When it comes to shoes, I’ve realized, it’s a hard battle between wearing heels or something comfortable. Obviously, comfort triumphs in this look.

For day 3, I wore this top from Shein! Let me let you in on a secret, I hate online shopping. Again, I know I’m letting down every fashion God and blogger by saying this; they are really looking down on me now and nodding their heads in dismay. If you haven’t caught on so far, Shein is an online shopping website and the top I’ve styled is from them. I’m not paid to say this (although I wish I was), this top is super comfy and looks great for the price I paid.

For day 4, I literally wore what I have previously worn for an outfit post. YES, I repeat outfits (cue for fashion Gods to leave and realize there’s no hope here).

READ THIS: I wanted to address this a while ago and it’s something that’s been on my mind. Society and the social media platforms we are all on and grown closely to, has a huge impact on certain perceptions about fashion and this myth about “repeating outfits”. I know of so many girls who would not dare to repeat an outfit ever again and risk being caught dead in the same outfit. I want to tell you its okay. It’s okay to wear the same thing again and again. Just because Instagram is filled with girls who don’t repeat their outfits, that doesn’t mean you’ve got to be one of them. Everyone repeats outfits. You’ve just got to realize, you’ve got to be comfortable in what you wear and really, who cares?

BTW, I styled this entire look with an overcoat from Zara, which I think is something all you girls need to invest in.

Day 5 of the #OneLookADayProject, I wore my work outfit with vans. As weird as it sounds, its super comfy! If you gave me a choice between wearing heels or some kind of comfortable shoe, I’d always choose the latter, always! And I speak for the majority of the girls when I say no to heels.

Day 6 was a Thursday! Thursday is always a good day, it’s a sign of the weekend nearing. So funny story, I found these baggy pants in forever 21 which I thought looked like PJs first and mannequins in forever21 or rather mannequins in general have this weird thing of making even the stupidest thing look good and lo behold, I bought it! At first, I genuinely didn’t know how to style this but I think I pulled it off. These pants are so comfy btw!

For the final day of the week I decided to wear this. Yes, I repeat my shoes here, I’ve worn this for an outfit this week already and it’s okay honestly.

Comfortable Fashion.

Hey you guys!

I'm not even going to get started on how delayed I am on these blogs. This time round I decided to show you what I'd wear on a regular basis and not cease to get bored of the clothes I'm wearing. Honestly, I'd wear this to university, to the mall or just when I really need to be comfortable doing what I ought to be doing. So I decided to pair a floral crop top with these military green haram pants. You can be as stylish as you want with these, styling it with other kinds of crop tops, bralettes or whatever else you could think of.

They beauty of these pants are honestly the fact that you can pair them with multiple colors and they'd all look really great. I usually wear a black v neck tucked inside with a long chain to accessorize. But that's your call!

P.S. Do follow me on Instagram, click here! (I try to post there more often than I post here so...)

Outfit Details:
Top: Forever 21
Pants: Vero Moda
Flats: New Look

Do let me know how you liked this one! Until next time, see you guys!
