Anything and Everything.

I think I’ve postponed this blog enough and now finally, after ages I’m going to be writing something. I don’t know what yet, but whatever comes to my head would be jotted here, to be precise. All this while I felt I had writer’s block or something, I couldn’t come to a conclusion on what I was going to write, so today I don’t have a specific topic. On most of the occasions, I do or maybe not.

Something I noticed much lately every time I browsed my Facebook homepage was kids trying to know the “secret to fame”. I mean there were literally juniors asking people how to get popular. 'Popularity' this single word definitely has a lot of significance in the modern life of today doesn't it? What not can people do to get popular? To what extent can one go? Popularity like any other materialistic thing existing in this world has ill-effects, check. The more you get popular, the more people get to know you and the more they get to know you, the more the reason to talk about you and more the reason to talk about, more the bad name you acquire. (I don’t even know whether you guys got what I just said.) And that my friends, is exactly what is the life cycle of your much awaited popularity. So what is it about being popular that people like? Random strangers on the road, asking whether it's really you, having a thousand followers behind you (like they're playing follow the leader) or the dreadful amount of gossip and rumors that come with it. I really do not get the intimacy between teenagers and popularity. There's this sudden urge all of a sudden to get 400 likes on a picture, a sudden urge to be in the cool kid list. One thing that popularity does do to people is turn them into to brats and snobs. It's really hard to judge who your real friend is when you have a swarm of them.

In today’s world people under estimate you so much.

Some people leave me flabbergasted and no, not because of their flair or something excellent they've done, but their audacity to hurt people's feelings. It doesn't matter how many times you have told someone to change their old habits, become a changed person but at the end of the day, you're the target. The level of hate and insult a person receives nowadays (I MEAN LITERALLY EVERYONE!) is indescribable. Sometimes when someone tries to insult me indirectly or you know tries to make me feel lesser than them, I just want to scream out to them and say HA! YOU'RE GOING TO HELL! But then I stop myself, because I'm no one to decide anything. I do not have the right to decide other people's fate. Who are we to decide anything for anyone? I see the news where people kill people because of jealousy, because they want to teach other people a lesson and seriously, who are we to teach other people a lesson, when we ourselves are at wrong. We are not superior ourselves.

I'm sure most of us have had that one time when we've said to ourselves, how come the bad people always gets everything they want and you're sitting there and thinking of all the good things you've done for people. Slap yourself right now! No, I'm serious do it! Just remember one thing, the bad things you've done is twice the good you've done for anyone. We always consider ourselves as saints and everyone about us as the demons, well guess what? They're imaging you as the demon themselves; because you might think you've done all the good in the world, but you haven't and maybe you don't comprehend you've done something bad, hurt someone's feelings etc but they do.

Honestly, it’s like everyone wants to suck the happiness out of your life. No one is happy for anyone in the human race. It’s all just a put up. Like you know, if I had to put a play, I know exactly who to take as the actors for the lead roles, I don’t even need to take an audition because they’re doing it so well in real life, the acting I mean (If you guys did not get it.) It’s like they get contentment out of seeing you in pain and depression (SADISTS!) And that’s why you should stop giving a number two. Jim Morrison once said, “We fear violence less than our own feelings. Personal, private, solitary pain is more terrifying than what anyone else can inflict.” Like the lesser you care, the happier you are. In my opinion you should really just keep that smile on always, because you know even if you’re having a thousand problems, no one really cares about them apart from you. When you smile through your troubles, it doesn’t only make you stronger than you already are, but it tends to get other people thinking. They try to find ways to get you down, but they’d give up eventually because their plans are not working.

In reality, we're all monsters.

When was the last time you appreciated someone? When was the last time, you had the courtesy to say thank you to someone? Remember those times when our world was not so small, when we used to go out, meet a bunch of new people, have a lot of fun, and acknowledge everyone for they are. What happened to those times? Someone has rightly said, we only remember people for the bad things they've done, never the good. So I want you all to start of small, start off by showing gratitude to the man who drops you home when you take the taxi or the bus, be it the school bus or the RTA, say thank you with a smile and make his day a more contented one, because he must have had an awful day so far, you have no idea how powerful a thank you or a smile is. Try it!

We're always talking ghastly about others. We're always trying to find faults in others. We're always judging unknown people. And if you say you don't do it, you're lying. Don't you ever wonder how many people around you, must have done the same thing to you? And what hurts more is, when you find out about it. We all try to be as brave as the hulk, trying to show others that it doesn't affect us, let the world keep talking, but in reality, it's affecting you. We live in such a time where, even the closest of the lot cannot be trusted. And take me seriously when I say that. I'm guessing all of have heard of this phrase sometime or the other, 'the ones who look strong aren't really the strongest and the ones who don't look strong, are'. Well that's it, pretty obvious now that everything is opposite of what it seems. The goodie two shoes definitely is hiding a dirty secret. The one, who says she's not a back biter, is the biggest one. We start finding faults in others when we know we're in fault to.

You might have a thousand people following you on Facebook, twitter, tumblr or any other site, but in reality they're only there for the latest “gossip”. Oh you broke up with your boyfriend; let's tell the world about that. I don't get the whole psychology of you "whispering" it to the world, tell you what, on your next birthday I'm gifting you a microphone and some Bose speakers, tell the whole world that way, better option don't you agree?

Nasty world I must say. A world where politicians are having bath in money, a world where people commit suicide because they can’t take the torcher anymore, they just can’t take it anymore. A world where everything comes for a price. A world where there's no smiling anymore because everywhere we go, there's cruelty, selfishness. There seems to be no difference between us humans and animals anymore. No difference between us and the devils anymore.

We stopped looking for monsters under the bed, when we realized they're within us. We're all monsters aren't we? Think about it.

Bundle of thoughts!

Right now, at this very moment, a child must have been born with no arms, a mother must have given birth to a dead child, a family must have lost their beloved member, a teenage girl must have been raped and you're sitting there and crying about why God has been unfair with you? You're sitting in a calm place, sobbing, telling yourself that you're worth nothing, nobody loves you, you have rotten luck, you're good for nothing, then you're definitely highly mistaken. Be grateful to God, that you have a perfectly functioning body with all parts intact, be grateful that you get education, be grateful you have clothes to wear, be grateful you have such loving parents, be grateful that you're so privileged! I must have mentioned this one to many times but nothing changes the fact that we're the most self centered people alive.

A thousand thoughts are in my mind at this very minute, revolving around in utter confusion. How selfish can people be? Someone once rightly said, in your happy times, you're going to see a lot of faces around you, but when your sad and you want someone to listen to you, ask you how you're doing, suddenly all the faces you have seen all through, disappear. You're in desperate need of at least one person to ask you how you're doing or what's wrong, and there's no one. Not even one single soul. You feel so alone now. You feel like there's no one out there for you. And then you think to yourself, you have done so much for people, helped them when you couldn't but you still did anyways and those people don't have the courtesy to ask you whether you're fine? Seriously, this is what the world has come to?

You're crying, people can see you cry and not one of them ask you why are you crying. You're sad, people know you're sad, and not one of them question it. How horrible is that feeling? A lot of teenagers have issues at home, a lot of them don't have friends because they're made fun of, used and thrown not by their boyfriends alone but they're friends who they thought would stand by them and so many other problems and yet I see so many, putting up brave fronts and crying their eyes out at home.

Sometimes your dreams shatter down and people tell you that you deserve so much more better and you're worth much more and that God has planned something better for you and you're just there not listening to anything that people say, because when your drams are shattered, nothing hurts more. Words are powerful yes, but not when you have lost something you wanted so bad, nothing beats the pain. Nothing beats the pain of not having someone to talk to when you're in grief. Nothing beats the pain of being surrounded by tons people but still feeling so alone. You start losing faith in everything, practically everything. And then you have two choices flat in front of you, either you screw up your entire life, give up and continue to be the sad depressed soul you already are or stand up! Prove to everyone that you are definitely much more worthy then anyone else. See, once things have been done you can't change it, it's then you learn that you need to face it. So, with your head held high and shoulders broad walk with your chin up, face the truth, like I've mentioned before, don't run away from your problems, face it.

Mixed Emotions: Part Two.

So recently I was watching this dance show on television and this girl came to perform; now she wasn’t like the others. Normally, standards set by these dance shows are really high and everyone expects mind blowing dances, well this dance wasn’t when I watched it in ‘coming up’. But, when I watched the real thing I was on the verge of tears. This girl I just mentioned, well she can’t hear neither speak and then it left me wondering, we judge people so fast, don’t we? We’re always passing comments on any random stranger, without knowing anything about them and it’s really saddening. This girl, she was so confident, she was smiling. A question that kept lingering in my head for a very long time after I watched that episode was, you know how these people can’t speak or hear or can’t see, but are always happy and we can speak and we’re so privileged and yet we have so many problems, it never seems to end. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way round? We’re never happy with anything, we’re always finding faults. Is this what our lives are worth?

Backward region children. Well, we’re all aware of them aren’t we? We’re always cribbing about how we don’t have the best of the teachers, how the air conditioner of our classroom is not working, how our books have not been printed properly and so on. Ever thought about these kids who don’t get proper education what so ever? These kids don’t have proper education facilities, these kids don’t get brand new books neither do they have proper notebooks or air conditioned rooms and if they can get a sixty on hundred without all of these facilities, how hard is it for us, us who get such good facilities to get a sixty. Look at the difference.

So we’ve been having student council elections in school lately and as student council elections come near, there comes a whole lot of drama, a whole lot of changes. I mean the people who looked lousy the entire year now look like soldiers, head straight up, trying to impress every single teacher there is! I’m not saying this is wrong, do it. But do it, for the whole year. And seriously don’t lie in your speech, for heaven’s sake. Even if you lie in your speech have the courtesy to live up to it. And then comes to voting, stop bribing people to give you votes. Also, the policy of ‘vote for vote’ is really annoying, such stupid alliances.

WHAT'S HAPPENING!

It feels really weird writing a blog after so long, I’ve missed blogging. But honestly, when I say this I mean it, TWELFTH GRADE IS A PAIN! I mean, when I first came into twelfth, everyone told me it’s going to be easy and it’s a fun year and there will be pressure, but only when you near boards. And I seem to have been witnessing the complete opposite and I’m not even joking. I know twelfth is harder compared to eleventh but the pressure is building every day. You cannot 'take it easy' anymore. (No, I’m not trying to scare you.) Tests have become like the rapes in Delhi now, there’s one practically every day. It does not even feel like I am in twelfth yet, everything happened so quickly, it hasn't even sunk in yet and that sucks. All of this apart, coming to the main point, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PEOPLE IN INDIA? HAVE YOU LOST IT?

When I wrote my post on Damini, I thought it was the last I was ever writing, but then some retards don’t have decency. How hard is it for you to keep your private part inside your pants? You say our clothes provoked you, seriously? So you’re telling me if your sister wears the same clothes, it’s okay if someone rapes her right? Since it provoked you, it’s okay that someone else felt the same way right? India is known for beautiful dances, marvelous dishes, rich heritage, rains, the crowded railways etc. But when rampant corruption, these ‘you can’t even imagine would ever happen’ cases and the political system comes into place, India loses what it really is.

And seriously, what the hell is wrong with the media? A 5 year old gets raped and the first thing you want to do is pounce on the news, because you WANT TO BE THE FIRST ONE TO FILM THE ENTIRE THING? I understand how the role of media is really powerful but, it’s only our country for a matter of fact, who TELLS THE ENTIRE WORLD ABOUT EVERY SINGLE RAPE THAT HAPPENS THERE. Rapes happen everywhere, but I’ve never seen any of their rape cases on a news channel, flashing as ‘BREAKING NEWS, BREAKING NEWS, BREAKING NEWS’ AFTER EVERY FREAKING FIVE MINUTES!

Then, there’s the police, Can someone please do me favor? Please go slap these inspectors, who take oath to protect our country; save us from miseries and what are they doing instead? Taking bribe to kill the matter? WHAT ARE YOU? INSANE? Mr. Hawaldar, a 5 year old got raped and foreign objects were found inside her body, I have two options flat on the table, I either bribe you or shove foreign objects up you, so that you know the excruciating pain that little one is going through. It’s really sad to see all of this on news and it really depresses me. The poor child.

This is only my opinion on the entire thing, feel free to comment about how you liked it and do share it so that people wake up! Thanks.

Today's Kids!

When I picture a kid, it’s usually a cute girl kid with ponytails and her bag bigger than her body. But, I’m guessing those aren’t kids anymore. When I see kids now, my whole image of this small cute kid just disappears! They’re not even worth calling kids anymore, honestly. When I was a kid, or may I say when we were kids, speaking on behalf of all of us, we weren’t even a shadow of what these kids are today! I don’t remember having an Apple Iphone or some other classy phone back in sixth grade. (I had a black and white nokia in seventh…..) All of these kids have become such brats, I must say. Using bad words, ones that I wouldn’t dare to utter even today, ones I hadn’t even heard of when I was their age, I think it’s insane!

I see pre-teens crying over losing their boyfriends and I’m literally talking about people are 11 years old! I hear them whining about how he dumped her and I’m just sitting there and wondering, is this what your life is all about? What happened to the pre- teens who wanted to be first in class, who wanted to read- aloud in class, WHAT HAPPENED? All they’re interested in now is looking out of the window in the boys recess and “showing off” (As they call it) in front of the guys.

Sometimes when I’m walking outside the school campus or some other place where all these weird pre-teens meet up, I see them smoking, hitting each other, making others bleed to be precise and it stuns me. THESE KIDS SMOKE. If you’re a kid and you’re reading this, let me put this in a really simple manner for you, IT IS NOT COOL THAT YOU’RE SMOKING, YOU ARE NO GANGSTER. I don’t remember any of my friends or their friends used to smoke when we were pre- teens.

I can say with much confidence that I wasn’t even two percent of what these kids are today. Studies, home, tuitions, family were my top priorities and that seems to be far away from the priority list for any of these pre-teens.
