The Facebook Drama: Part Two.

Olla again,

Basically I couldn’t get over the nasty side of facebook and I have so much more to say. Let’s start with what is trending. The number of photography pages that have been created on facebook keep increasing every minute. Someone one rightly put it, “The problem is every person with an SLR thinks he can become a photographer”. Three words for you, YOU NEED SKILL. Besides that you need passion too, by creating a page and posting up pictures of the closet, your mobile phone and stuffed teddy bears you are not going anywhere. And then you expect us to like the page too. First learn how to take photos properly, learn what the word ‘PHOTOGRAPHY’ really means and basic terms of photography, then I might think about liking your page.

Then let’s come to what I like to call ‘PUBLICITY STUNTS’, you know the ones the actors do to get famous only difference is these people are not actors. So what do I mean? I am talking about the utter bullshit people write on each other’s wall obviously because they are having an argument. Anyways, I don’t get the point, WHY DO IT ON THE WALL? AGAIN, WHY DO YOU WANT THE WHOLE WORLD TO KNOW WHAT’S THE ARGUEMENT ABOUT? You are having an argument, okay fine. You are telling your close friend, again fine. You are posting your side’s of the story on each other’s wall, not fine. Inbox, Inbox, Inbox.

Recently, I was going through a few profiles and guess what I saw? ‘XYZ’s relationship status is changed from being in a relationship to widow’ and I burst into laughter. Dear people who do that, DO YOU KNOW THE MEANING OF WIDOW? If not, A widow is a woman whose spouse has died, while a widower is a man whose spouse has died. And please, you are not married to your boyfriend whose not going to last, so do not even plan on giving me that.

Then, we have those who do not know basic manners. So really if you think by creating a hate group against a person is really the right thing to do, please think again. If things between you and the person you hate are not going good, I suggest you talk it out, you never know it might even turn out to be a misunderstanding or at least he/she will realise their mistake and apologise. Why create a hate group and spoil your name? It is you who is going to look like the bad person, not the person you hate. By hurting that person’s feelings, it is really not taking you anywhere. THAT REALLY DISGUSTS ME.

Parents: Our Guardians.

Hello there,

Parents. These 7 letters, one word make so much of a difference in our lives. So recently, I’ve been hearing things that made me emotional. Have you ever wondered how it feels to NOT see your mother or father at least once in a day? Yes, some of us can’t even visualize not seeing their faces. Manier times we would want to stay away from them, but that thought of leaving them sets us back, at least for me. But there are so many kids in this world or let’s say in Dubai who do not even get to see their parent’s face once a day. Why? Because of the occupation they do.

There are many parents who go abroad for office work and do not get to spend time with their children due to the work pressure on them and then there are those children whose parents do not go abroad for office work but work more than 12 hours a day. What really kills me inside is the fact that these kids do not get to see their parent/parents at least once a day.

From the point of view of child, we are emotionally attached to are parents and obviously need them with us. Every one of us would want our parents to sit down and talk to us at the end of the day about how their day was, what all happened etc. But then what about the people who do not even get to see their parents, what do they do?

From the point of view of a parent, the only reason they work is for the wellbeing of their child. They can’t help it if they have to work extra or end up going to work on a weekend too. I mean, they are doing this so that their kids could study further, become something in life. They try to give us everything we want so that we are pleased. There are parents who give their kids anything they ask for only because they do not want their kids to have a youth like theirs. That is why they work.

For a teenager like me who understands the surroundings at a certain level, who understands the problems of my parents. I would not want my parent to work more than 12 hours just for me. I would want my parent to enjoy their life too. It really hurts to see your mother/father leave home earlier than 5:00am and then arrive home much later than 10:00pm. I know of people who sacrifice sleep or get up before time just to see their parent’s face and the worst part is THEY CANT HELP IT. I even know people who have cried, had loads of disturbing breakdowns just because they do not get to see their parent. Imagine life that way.

I really hope you liked my blog, do leave your comments. Thanks for reading.

The Facebook Drama

Olla,

Firstly I’d like to apologise for such a huge gap of days, blame it on CBSE. I missed blogging. So here it goes, jotting down my feelings hasn’t been simpler. Today I am going to talk about something that almost every teenager uses, FACEBOOK. It has, according to me become a trend to have a facebook account and it gets nasty. Like all my other friends even I have a facebook account and usually, I notice so much of ongoing drama that I couldn’t really stop myself from blogging about it.

I have come across so many people on facebook who take photos with the shortest of the possible clothes, obviously with the intention of showing off their body parts. For such people, please stop wearing clothes? I don’t mean to offend anyone but honestly speaking you are going to look the same with some amount of clothes on too. And then there are those people who take photos with THREE LAYERS OF FOUNDATION, A COMBINATION OF EYE SHADOWS, EYE LINER, KAJOL, MASCARA, POWDER, LIPSTICK. AND ITS NOT EVEN GOOD MAKEUP! What harm in showing how you really look?

Next, the teenager couples who keep on putting up statuses on how lucky they are to have their loved one in their life, or how awesome their day was because they saw their loved one and spent time with them. I don’t mind you putting up such statuses once in a while, but why put up such statuses after every two minutes? I don’t think anyone is interested in reading how much you love/ miss her than her itself. Then there are those couples who wallpost each other on what they did with each other the whole day and how they miss holding each other and kissing each other. Kindly understand Mark Zuckerburg did not invent something known as an inbox just for the fun of it, there was a purpose. So use your inbox? The idea of couples posting such things on each other’s wall disgusts me and I’m sure it disgusts a lot of other people too.

There are also people who publish their health reports and whole life history on facebook. Why on earth would you want all your facebook friends to know what’s going on with you? If all that is for sympathy, do me a favour, go to a news channel or any other form of mass media and publish it to the whole world, why restrict it to your facebook friends? In that way everyone is going to give you sympathy.

Facebook was introduced so that we could socialise more with people not use it to such an extent that you disgust people.

Do leave in your comments, Thanks.
